About Me

Kristen Garris is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and video editor whose work has collectively garnered millions of views worldwide. Her clients include Netflix, A24 Films, Snapchat, Google, Vice Media, Brand New School, Hecho Studios, and Vogue Magazine. She has worked on a range of projects, including animated series, feature films, documentaries, commercials, short films, and branded content. 

In 2020, she was recruited by Netflix to work in post-production on the hit animated series "The Cuphead Show!" based on the popular video game of the same name. The show premiered in the top 10 on Netflix and went onto receive several nominations including Outstanding Animated Series at the Children and Family Emmys.

She also worked as an assistant editor on several notable films including Everything, Everywhere all at Once, which swept the Oscars in 2023, as well as the upcoming feature film Wildcat directed by Ethan Hawke, starring Maya Hawke, Laura Linney, Steve Zahn, and Liam Niesen.

Kristen holds a BFA in Film and TV Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and an MFA in Film Directing from Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. She is a proud member of the Motion Picture Editor's Guild of America.
