Kristen Garris is a Los Angeles based filmmaker and video editor. Her clients have included such companies as Google, Vice Media, Brand New School, Gillette, Charter Spectrum, and Vogue Magazine and her work has garnered over 4,000,000+ views collectively worldwide. She has worked on a range of projects including documentaries, commercials, short films, webisodes, lifestyle videos, and branded content. She also frequently works as union assistant editor on various projects.
She holds a B.F.A in Film and TV Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA in Film Directing from Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. Her second year graduate school film Pony Bar received nominations for the Kodak Student Film Cinematography Award as well as for a student film grant from the National Board of Review. She recently completed work on her MFA thesis film, Madre Maria, which is about to enter the festival circuit.
